What are the fastest connections in terms of speed availible in Czech Republic now ? Like InterCity or Express ? Are there any plans for HSR in Czechia ? And is 'New Connection' far from finish ?

There is SC - supercity, served by class 680 Pendolino, and it goes between Prague-Brno-Bratislava/Wien or Prague-Olomouc-Ostrava. Design speed for tracks is 160kph, but Pendolino can of course run much faster.

After this, there are EC and IC trains between all big cities in CR and in foreign countries.

HSR is planned between Dresden-Prague, Pilsen-Prague, Prague-Brno, Brno-Přerov-Ostrava and Brno-Břeclav-(Wien)
First parts of HSR net will be more than 20km long tunnel between Prague and Beroun on Pilsen-Prague track(design speed 300kph), where will be for the first time used TBM (tunnel boring machine) in Czech Rep. Then there will be built in near future stretch Brno-Přerov (for speed 200kph)

Soviet TBM was used on most parts of Prague metro lines AFAIK during 70's and 80's.

I think yes, but it also depends on Slovakia

I found some more informations.
Here is some map from ministry of transportation:

And some diagram from ČD (czech railways)

According to ČD web, they will primary build HSR between Nurnberg and Prague (via Pilsen), then Dresden-Prague and Prague Brno and last part will be Brno-Bohumín. Track Brno-Břeclav will be only modernized (not rebuilt) for design speed 200kph.http://www.cd.cz/static/old/NEW/TCD2005/5_49rych.htm

According to Stavebnictvi magazine http://www.casopisstavebnictvi.cz/clanek.php?detail=585 will be some parts of new HSR track included in railway transit corridors reconstruction. Stretches will be Pilsen -Domažlice - borders with Germany and what I mentioned Brno - Přerov. So these stretches are maybe not far from construction start.

I think for Brno - Břeclav modernisation for 200 km/h is enough and the same applies for Bratislava - Kúty. This railway is in flat terrain so speed there is already quite high. BTW, short stretch from Kúty to Czech border should modernised for 160 km/h soon.
