It looks it's time to find a new color scheme... this one was stunning on ICE 1, a wonderful piece of industrial design, but after 29 years it's about time to find something a bit more lively.

It looks like a fridge...

ICx is a good train. In terms of external design, however, it doesn't even reach a similar status to the Albatross (aka V250), which is the best looking higher speed train to be unveiled in Europe last 15 years.

This is higly debatable probably the V250 is the best looking train in Dutch terms

I'll stick with the AGV, quite impressive in NTV's colors (and something better could be done on it).

One of my personal favourites for applied train liveries is still the Pendolino. I think that the liveries applied to them by Virgin Trains and PKP IC are simply gorgeous.

Regarding the ICx: the black line behind the cab looks a bit odd. There's probably a good reason for having it there (some sort of buffer, perhaps?) but it looks like you can easily remove it.

AGV and V250 don't belong on same category. V250 and ICx are only rated for 249km/h. AGV goes up to 360 km/h.

AGV is indeed the best looking end-market high-speed train ever built anywhere in the World.

There is a awfully large gap between the body and the first bogie, probably because of the use of a bogie with inboard bearings. That can't be good for aerodynamics.

Sweet! The Verona - Brennero - Munich is one of the most interesting routes to travel on in Europe.

In a few years a good half of that video will be just pitch black...

Then the future person operating the camera will be doing something wrong, because trains have headlights and cameras can also record under low light conditions just fine if operated correctly.

Just a few videos of one of the more impressive modern stations of Germany - the Berlin Hauptbahnhof. I took these in late December last year when I was in Berlin briefly. I will also have photos of the hauptbahnhof and other railway stations later as well.

Firstly, an exterior night view:

A first view inside.

Views underground and above ground.

Final views of the hauptbahnhof at night.

The noise inside is deafening though.

Some time ago I read about some subsidence problems on the glass structure, which would need adjustment works to be done after 2015, something on the low 8-digit ball cost.

Is that correct?

Well, they already had problems with the railway tracks supports over the Humboldthafen, so I would not be surprised...
