Second Trump project for The Palm

Nakheel CEO James Wilson told the City Expansion conference in Abu Dhabi today about a second joint venture project with Donald Trump: the 1,000-apartment Village Centre at the end of the trunk which will also have three floors of retail. This development will be completed in December 2008 and have a dedicated monorail station like the Trump Tower (see News Feature).

this is actually the oldest project on the palm
it has been there since day 1

just rebranding

remember these 6 or 7 buildings surrounding the mall on the top of the trunk?

we did not have a thread though.
but this is cheap branding, because these are Res apts and sold ages ago, maybe the best apts on palm jum.

now that i look at this render i can say plans have changed again

there now is a huge building with 4 wings, surrounded by 6 buildings which are the marina apartments

previously there was a dome with canals and berths for yachts, small shopping mall and promenades

all replaced by...... a massive residential building

can somebody edit the title.

the 6 14F buildings are the marina apartments, the village centre is the thing in the middle and is at least 25F.

From the latest model the village centre thingy looks like it's around 40 floors high

i am sure the marina apartmens will remain, just the centrepiece has been (slightly) redesigned.

this is taken of the most recent masterplan, however, they have indeed increased the floor count and redesigned it slightly.
