I saw Torre Espacio's construction on the Discovery Channel's Extreme Engineering show. It was quite interesting to watch the construction of the 23rd floor.

Well, do not panic, it seems that everything is now under control. There is no structural damages and fire seems to be nearly extinguished ouf!!

Luckily the flames are now very little and there is no real danger. We can say that it has been only a terrible impresion that something could have happened but finally everything is under control.

Damn that sucks. You guys seem to have bad luck with highrise fires lately.

I hope the fire doesn't set the Torre Espacio too far behind schedule.

Any word on what caused it? That concrete pump tube gets pretty hot, but what would have been that combustable next to it near the top?

From the show I watched it looked like everything on the top floors was concrete, rebar, and steel forms. I didn't see much of any wood or anything else that might have been combustable.

They are talking about wood and hydraulic oil.
