city lofts is on there... We're just discussing a new development that we feel is ood for the cty.

Is it just me or is it a tad unusual that a building is occupied before it is finished?? Office workers have been in the lower 3 floors of V1 for the past couple of weeks- I know it's structurally complete but they're still fitting windows and wot-not to the upper floors!! I dont think I've seen that before.

I think mr health and safety is on holiday

Well, presumably it's all just fitting going on upstairs, so I'm sure that it's all safe enough in the lower-levels

It must be quite distracting for them when they're working and there's bits of glass flying about n stuff.

I wish I knew, found it on the Sheffield Flickr group, some awesome photography on there, I've spent hours looking through them all lol!

They probably used a Nikon D50 or a Canon 350D or better, and I recon about a 10-22 lens.

Still not sure about the turquoise though?

Looks like same turquoise going on the Information Commons right now.

My concern is that it will soon look dirty what with the traffic fumes etc.

Oh, and regarding the discussions on V1's height - yes, it should have gone higher than Metier, at least half - if not, dare i say, double!

An addition to the market has gone up in the form of This website. There;s bugger all there at the moment, but they may well add to it!

When you get up close to this development you notice they really have paid attention to the details. I love the open air balconies appearing all over this building and I even think theres a roof terrace on one of the blocks now.

It is SO COOL - I would really consider renting somewhere here (though I'd keep the curtains drawn so don't spoil it with a view of Metier and the Pennine Centre).

It is an amazing development.

I think that V1 is nearing completion now. I went past the other day, and they seemed to have most of the windows in, and I think they'd gotton rid of some of the scaffolding/works equipment around it.

And Greggles, are you from Norwich but staying in Sheffield or visa-versa? My sister's studying a PHD there at the moment. It's a lovely place.

Yes, it looked almost finished when I saw it as well. The lower level was glazed to the top (if you know what I mean) and the other two levels were almost done.

I couldn't help but feel the curve ought to have been inverted though...

Marketing is now under way on the newly named Velocity Village, upon its completion promises to dwarf any other development in the city with 400 Luxury Residences, 140,000 sq ft Commercial Quarter, 600 Secure Parking Spaces, Landscaped Courtyards, Select Retailers & Espresso/Deli Bar.

Velocity Village has already been chosen by major PLC Plusnet as it European HQ.

I know weve all seen this render of V1 a hundred times before but his one look really crisp
