262 meters for Utrecht, Netherlands!

This plan is launched today. It's located above a new subcenter of the City Utrecht in the middle of the coutry. It is almost 100.000 square meters.

Architect Pi de Bruijn, Architecten Cie.

They want to start construction in 2008/9.

Incredible plan and it's serious! But nothing sure ofcourse.

Great project, let's hope this one will be build. It's also stimulates other cities in the Netherlands and Europe to build tall.

I'll vote for this as the most original scraper design of the year! Very unique. Has plenty of potential as the trademark for the city.

Is this commercial, institutional, residential or mixed use?

Very exciting! Spectacular and original without being too gaudy. Congrats!

No, it's just a skyscraper. Both residential/office.

Yes, amazing. I hope they build it, plus some more high buildings in the surrounding area.

I'm very proud of this news!

It's 2 km from Dr. Dubai's house. I think this tower can be a new kind of Turning Torso!

Not sure about the design but the height would be revolutionary for The Netherlands. This building could spur many more highrises over 200m in The Netherlands which would be great news.

I agree Quintana! It might show other cities that building tall structures is a good resolution for space issues in Holland, and it helps to give a city some recognition globally. By the way, saying that this tower should be build in Rotterdam is silly, there's no reason why highrises in Holland should be confined to Rotterdam.
