Brilliant news of Netherlands. Original and intruiging idea. I'll be interested to know the physics behind this building. Just seeing the 262m building on four legs and overhanging pieces of metal makes me think beyong the design.
The design however is good. I just ask for better renders really.

I'll be seeing this thread for new news in the future

Go Netherlands!

Holland is one of the smallest countries of Europe and has a skyscraper from 265 meters tall. That's much for a country as that. Holland has not so much space so the only way to build, is to build higher. cool...

This is an just an idea that gets way too much attention. This is the dutch version of: look we got also a 1000 meter proposal, only smaller. Ridiculous to start a thread for such a empty shell.

@Tim, face it, it's a little sad to show dutch projects on the world forum. We just don't have any tall of interesting projects in Holland!

What are you talking about? The local government is very positive about this tower!

Interesting unique design, kind of like it, but the height is definitely great!

Design a tullip model for it in the middle; Holland will have it's own Eifel Tower for tourists Though, the location should be in a more interesting area ... like in the midle of a city like Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Helmond.

Great!

This is defenitely gonna be 'the' landmark of the metropolian of the "Randstad".

The first renders aren't a good quality. but as i looks better at the design, can i only say one thing: 'Great, Great, Great!...'

I propose we trash the old-fashioned inner city of Amsterdam and build this monster right at the Dam square!

Dream on.

This is a proposal is primarily aimed at stimulating discussion on skyscraper heights. There is no tennant. Political interest or not, Dutch housing laws are still not aimed at intensifying urban areas in order to preserve the countryside. There are no renderings, just these sketches. This tower is food for thought only - don't expect to see any project updates for this one.

I really like the design, it's totally unique. But the obvious question is: Why Utrecht and not Rotterdam or Amsterdam? I've been to Utrecht and while it's a nice city, it's surely not a city where you would expect a 260+m skyscraper to be build.
