look a bit strange and i would fear the tips falling off... looks like architecture for architectures sake.. it does nothing to make me think what an elegant artfull creation. but it seams that most modern architecture is getting a bit to strange for my tastes...

I want more buildings that blend harmlessly into the surroundings, not somthing that sticks out like a sore thumb...

thumbs down for me

Is it a monument? A landmark? A hotel? Apartments? Offices? What is it?

A city within a city: hotel, offices, appartments etc in one building.

It's hard to say "it's unfortunate", as we don't have renderings yet, just a quick made drawing.
I find the shape of the building, especially the top, absolutely revolutionary. No screw-driver like form reminding Turning Torso in Malmo, Calatrava's towers for Chicago and Valencia. Just a completely new way to present a skyscraper.

I think we need some great cities on this planet that don't need skyscrapers to be great. Amsterdam fits into this category. I say preserve Holland the way it is. However, if you feel Holland needs skyscrapers to get global recognition, then put them in Rotterdam where there is not much left to preserve and where the towers already dot the skyline.

To preserve Holland the way it is and get stuck in time? Why? Even historical cities like Vienna/Austria build skyscrapers. We should preserve old centers of our cities, but why not to put new highrises in special districts outside monumental city core?
This scraper planned for Utrecht, if built, would rise in a completely new area that was meant as a new district. I don't see any reason why not to build high there, and moreover, that area has been discusses as a new skyscraper location already before.
I'm also afraid that such an extraordinary structure as this one, wouldn't fit in any existing Dutch skyline - perhaps it would in the "irregular" skyline of The Hague. But I think that buildings like this are meant to stand alone and dominate the space around.

it's not so beautiful if there come smaller skyscrapers around Belle van Zuijlen. But if they have the same style, it's maby can look very cool.

Not nice, especially the upper part looks bad. Not the best project to convince pubilc about high skyscrapers...

I actually was very excited with this news, but looking at the "model" I have but two words: "utterly ridiculous".
