That's pretty normal, Bulgarian is actually a tough language for non-slavic people. Anyway, Russian is much tougher, it's grammar is crazy!

Something that might be interesting for our bulgarian friends: I was walking in the city center just now, and noticed a new 2be store that was getting ready to open. They were still doing some preparations but I'm sure in a couple of days it will open doors. I guess this is the first one of the 20 or something promised. Anyway, I'm hoping they will be good competition for Germanos 'cause they are totally ripping us off.

Here's the bulgarian site: www.2be.bg

You are right! Technomarket is 51% owned by Equest and 2be is owned by Nikolai Kitov, the founder and minority stakeholder in Technomarket.

Great news! As far as I remember they had plans to acquire some MK distributor but, I guess, they could not agree on the price.

I don't recall on this. AFAIR they were planning a greenfield entry all along.

yup. I'm too lazy to start digging through old SSC threads but I'm almost positive they were planning on opening their own stores.

I see you have the problems we have:

not much they can do about it. One of the good sides from privatization of the electric distribution is that no one can f*ck with it anymore (since it's private). The electricity billing has jumped to amazing 90% and is steadily moving to 100%.

don't get me started ... maybe U didn't notice but their excuse is redesigning the site... What the hell do they think we are idiots? What does the redesigning of the site have to do with filling it up with news.

They should restart publishing on the 14th of January AFAIK.

This could be a good business opportunity for you. Why don't you start such a website to compete with them (that won't be hard). Bulgaria already has at least 5 or 6 such financial news websites and they were all sold to investors for good money.

Hm, writing a CMS (or porting some open source one), daily data entry, dealing with internet ads and administrating the server is a tough job to be done by someone. And the profit from that site will not be enough to earn a living, at least in the beginning...while most of your time you will be occupied with that. It's a hard thing to do. Unless you can afford hiring some guys to work on the site..

I don't know anything about this business, but I noticed the plethora of specialized websites which popped up in Bulgaria in the last couple of years. As we know, it's all about trafic and whoever is first has a competitive advantage. Total does not seem like a very good website. That's why I thought that there is a lot of room for competition.
