The Rising skies of Limerick!

Some interesting high density developments are shaping up alongs its waterfront ( River Shannon Ireland's most impressive River)

Clarion hotel. 19 storeys
Riverpoint 15 storeys
Phase 2 10 storeys

Strand 10 storeys

and I'm aware of another tract of land adjacent to the Riverpoint which is very promising in terms of getting a "tall" building. I will update and try get some pictures of some of Limerick's exciting projects.

Welcome to SSC Dave,

I appreciate your post. This, however, is an international forum, so you might want to give more details .

Riverpoint, August 2005:

Clarion Hotel, November 2005:

I don't know about new projects in Limerick. These two highrises are already built.

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=269811 - in this thread you can find more photos from west coast of Ireland. They aren't urban, but nice anyway

The recently completed Riverpoint building is absolutely stunning. I had the pleasure of staying in the clarion over new years and it just looks amazing. Great architecture and I wish more of this standard will go up in Ireland (especially in Cork ).
