Hey thanks for the reply Skymaster. It's ok, I can wait 6 to 10 years for something above 700 ft. I've waited most of my life for something over 450 ft or so so what's another 6 years.

Actually, some elements of it are very new. The tiny light green squares that dot the facade are solar panel collectors.

Architect

Haven't seen it mentioned here, but maybe it was.

Architect is James KM Cheng...nice to see it designed by a local. He's really taking over the Vancouver skyline.

I actually just went by the tower today like 3 or 4 times and this was the first time Ive seen it in person since it was around 40 stories and to tell you the truth the tower is dam tall comparing it to the rest of the skyline. It seemed to be literally the same height of the empire state building comparing to the rest of the skyline (although its not) and also I finally got to see the true thinness of the building. When coming into downtown from all directions it is very hard to spot during the night unless you can get a clear view of the crane. Also, the inside lighting hasn't even surpassed the 4th floor so their is a very long way to go in interior work.

Major Props for Sono65 from Skyscraperpage for photoshopping the future look of the skyline with the Shangri La and Ritz Carlton completed.

Awesome photomontage (post #424)! I see you added the extra 40' of extended flying curtainwall above the penthouse floor. Good eye and great job. Keep it up!

Ya I think the fins should add at most 3 more floors of height not legit floors though.

And great update Vanman. Those pics show how far the podium has been built up
