Aurora Tower - living up to its name
Took these pictures tonight of Aurora - an apartment tower still under construction in Brisbane.
Looks like they are trialing colours and patterns. The colours were shimmering and changing all night. Sorry but my balcony railing is kind of on a slant and I'm not very good at night pictures ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Viva Brizvegas

Man. Brisbane and the Gold Coast are going to be know as the cities of light soon. Hopefully this will just push Melbourne to maintain it's game and do some decent things with Eureka.
Looks stunning! |

That's a really interesting comment, cos I'm always complaining that brissie's lighting of buildings is crapola!! so bring it on aurora - and as locke said - bugger the residents!!! We're the ones that have gotta look at it!!

brisbanes lighting isnt bad, its just conservative. the city looks lit up at night but none of it looks very interesting, its just a big mass of office lights and signage. hopefully aurora will take the focal point away from riparians aircraft warning lights...

As I said in the official Aurora thread, I think it's just to advertise the building @ night instaed of standing in gloomy darkness. Coloured spotlights would be relatively inexpensive to hire compared to selling 5 x $2 mill. dollar apartments as a result. Really hope they stay tho' but I just have my doubts.
