Actually what we see is just the core.......


....seriously, I'm wondering the same thing. It would be cool to start seeing this glisten in the sunlight. I have a feeling we have a while before we see that but who knows?

They have, at night, a green laser beam projection on the building saying: "Emaar level 33", obviously refering to the level the core has risen.

I saw it 2 nights ago.

ive worked out it will have risen apprx 30 levels by sept, thus lev64 wil be reached or 220m high.
i reckon it will be 80 levls or 280m by xmas.

I read today that the poppie trade/heroin revenues to the UAE have been so compromised that Burj may top out at 500m or less.

That thing looks pretty cool. What is a folly used for? I've never seen one of these or heard of the word "folly" used for a building.
