The completion of the work of the girder segment is scheduled to occur next week, thus ending the whole work of the main girder of line kites from the Lebak Bulus Depot until the Bundaran Senayan (10 km).
Thank you to all the friends who have struggled at high risk construction work this afternoon and evening.

Group issues Jakarta's integrated transit map
source : http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2...ansit-map.html

Quote:

An integrated map comprising various mass public transportation lines has been launched by a group calling itself the Greater Jakarta Transportation Discussion Forum (FDTJ).

The map, which took five weeks to complete, connects 105 Transjakarta routes, seven commuter line routes, long-distance trains, and the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Skytrain.

“The cartography team is working to add the newest public transportation routes, the light rail transit [LRT] and the mass rapid transit [MRT],” said Adriansyah Yasin, a spatial planning and development student, who co-founded the FDTJ along with other public transportation enthusiasts in September 2014.

The LRT and MRT are expected to begin commercial operations in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

The map is an updated version of the previous one, launched in July. It includes information on the nearest Transjakarta bus stops to commuter train stations, Transjakarta bus routes during public holidays, city landmarks and estimated walking times between train stations and the nearest bus stop.

Adriyansyah said that he expected the map to help passengers understand Jakarta’s public transportation routes and assist the transportation bodies in their attempts to integrate various modes of transportation in Greater Jakarta. (wit)

Soekarno–Hatta International Airport Skytrain is officially launched

The Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Skytrain was officially launched on September 17. (JP/Bangkit Jaya Putra)

The Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Skytrain was officially launched on September 17. The launching event was attended by minister of state-owned businesses Rini Soemarno, transportation minister Budi Karya Sumadi and Angkasa Pura II president director Muhammad Awaluddin.

“I’m very proud that the project is completed in 12 months, this is due to the good working synergy between BUMN (State-owned businesses) and transportation ministries,” said Rini.

“Angkasa Pura II has given an extraordinary contribution to the people through this Skytrain,” added Budi.

Moreover, the launching date also coincided with transportation ministry’s Hari Bhakti.

Budi said that Skytrain will increase the number of overseas tourists visiting Indonesia via Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

30 percent of the total of international tourists in Indonesia arrive at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, 40 percent arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali and 20 percent arrive in Batam or Bintan by sea.

The launching of the Skytrain followed the tourism minister's regulation No. KO 841, year 2017 on Special Train Operational Permit for PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero).

The Skytrain currently serves passengers who wish to travel from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2, and vice versa, with the operational hours from 07:00 a.m. – 09:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. – 02:00 p.m. and 05:00 p.m. – 07:00 p.m.

Two trains that can accommodate up to 176 passengers are available on the 1,700 meter-long track. The Skytrain service is free of charge.

Although the Skytrain is the first unmanned mode of transportation in Indonesia that uses automated guideway transit system, in its first six months of operation, a set of crew will be operating the vehicle.

The next development stage for Skytrain is to connect Terminal 3, Terminal 2, airport train station and Terminal 1 with dual tracks with a total length of 3,050 meters. The headway is set to every five minutes with the total travel duration of seven minutes when the Skytrain is in full operation. (asw)

Free trial low-deck bus on Sudirman av. Jakarta

The Jakarta Provincial Administration is buying 150 Scania buses to provide Jakartans a reliable and comfortable means of public transportation in the capital city. The buses are expected to arrive by the end of the year, the governor added.

The low-floor bus was chosen as it will facilitate the people with disabilities to access the transport service. Director of PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) Budi Kaliwono revealed that each bus costs around Rp2.2 billion.

The administration has set aside around Rp2.2 trillion, sourced from the government investment participation (PMP), to procure the buses, Kaliwono informed.

Scania, a major Swedish manufacturer of commercial vehicles, together with PT United Tractors Pandu Engineering, built the Low Entry Bus K250, that will be used as a regular public transport vehicle in Jakarta.

The low-floor bus is equipped with several safety features such as the Electronic Brake System (EBS), and an Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), retarder, bus stop brake, and a hill-hold mechanism to prevent the vehicle from rolling back when it has to stop during a climb.

Two-part post:

1. I never understood how the Bundaran Hi MRT station is going to be 400 metres in length if the MRT platforms are estimated at 180 metres.

2. The small five-station stretch of LRT in East Jakarta may actually be part of a wider line with 23 stations spanning from Jakarta Kota to Dukuh Atas / Sudiman. A couple of maps of what the complete first Jakarta LRT line may look like were recently posted in the Jakata LRT thread in the local Indonesia forum. Here is one of them:

State-Owned Enterprises Minister tests Soekarno-Hatta Airport train

Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Rini Soemarno went to test the Soekarno-Hatta Airport train that is said to be launched soon.

“I’ve tried it all, from ordering the ticket up to getting out of the gate. Everything went well, insya Allah [God willing] it will be available before Christmas this year,” said Rini.

The train will travel for 12.1 kilometers from Batuceper to the airport.
