I was reading the Toronto Star and it said Sapphire was denied approval. They said the reasoning was because it would shaddow Nathan Phillips Square.

I expect within a week or two that existing suite owners will get a preview of the newly designed building and the suite layouts (per HS) and I'm sure Cassius will post the new rendering as soon as he is allowed. Should be weeks now, not months!

How much smaller will this one be from the original concept? Seems like Toronto just can't get any good luck with the bigger buildings!

It should be about 750 feet, somewhere in that range. I'm sure you will be presently surprised by what you see.

I agree. I think I'm one of the few people here who have a good deal of confidence in Stinson. The man is determined to impress us with Saphire and I know he will.

Actually, I would say we are quite lucky with the construction boom!
Quite lucky indeed. Most people are not complaining........

Couldnt he have just kept the original design and shrunk it to meet city hall's demands?

the original design shrunken down would have been much nicer than what we have today for renders.

I thought Stinson was going to fight it and go above City Hall to the province. He certainly gave up quickly, which makes me wonder how serious he was about the original proposal. If Trump is having difficulty selling all of his units, how long would it take to sell out MiniTrump's(tm) tower?

Trump and Sapphire are marketed to two different groups........so I doubt the struggles of one tower could be applied to the other
