I dont like Arena Central (if it ever happens) and Masshouse looks dull.

But very good for B-ham.

Not to mention Insignia, Masshouse phase 1 is residential, the offices (5 towers) are all glass.

Looking at the skyline has really shown me how ugly half the buildings in the skyline are. If I had the power to, I would remove Centre City Tower, that concrete thing next to it, the sentinels and stephenson tower (which is actually gunna be demolished so yay!).

I don't tihnk Birmingham has a lot going for it at the moment. Masshouse will not bring alot of interest to that side of Birmingham as it will incorporate very little shops and tourism features. It would have had a better chance if plans to move the library there hadn't have been shelved. I actually feel Masshouse is a let down. Something more radical and interesting which would put Birmingham back on the "GOOD CITY TO BE IN" Map.

Arena Central is on shaky ground (not literally). The tower has had all sorts of setbacks since the approval. I don't expect it to be much taller than 135 metres unless something miraculous happens.

When Paradise Circus is demolished, something radical and totally different from the rest of the city should be built.

I cant be bothered to explain. I think you should head over to the Brum forum and learn some stuff first (CONSIDERING YOU HAVE NEVER ACTUALLY POSTED THERE), especially about the Masshouse area. Your be happy to know a shopping center roughly the same size as the Bull-ring (which it sits opposite to) has been proposed as well as a 80m and 110m residential tower.

Murmurings coming from AC say the tower is due to be 190m, the Pinnacle (175m) will be located near to masshouse aswell as "MAKES" City Park Gate where we shall see a quite significant tower, all in all the eastside of Birmingham is becoming a boom town and dare I say it, a hive of construction

The Pinnacle has had no news since the proposal and there has even been members of the council saying it was most likely just a joke and a non-serious proposal. I actually think it's ugly however thats taking focus off the subject.

A new shopping centre in Masshouse? A certainly didn't hear any news about that. That would certainly boost it as the shops around the Carrs Lane area are loosing out because of the focus on BullRing. I am imagining a shopping row being formed....

And where is this Brum forum? I had no idea there was one.

Nope, the Pinnacle was actually backed by the council for christ sake and are actually helping ROC INTERNATIONAL develop the tower.

The shopping center by Masshouse is Martineau Galleries, a redevlopment of £500m. And the Brum forum (if you dare to go with all this negativity) is in the UK and Ireland sub forums further down the main Skyscrapercity Page.
