Love the contrast of the Principal scheme between the office and residential, but both in a 'pin striped' black, just wish they would finish the lower panelling on the resi tower. Have they forgotten?

The truth is that rich arabs or rich blacks prefer such renders, too. Deal with it.

Stop. Just stop.

Take it to the various skybars on SSC to talk about this, not here.

..and that Farringdon station is going to turn up a lot in TV & movies, guaranteed.

Of course if they are rich and want to buy a home in a rich neighborhood.

If this would made it more difficult to sell units, they would not do it. London is a capitalistic city. If they would make more money if they advertise with multi cultural they would do it. But this doesn`t work. So why change yourself for some social justice warriors in the www?

It's an internal cladding system that is being used in all the new Crossrail stations, not just Farringdon. I saw the mockup some time ago, but seeing it installed in the stations now, it really does look effective. Surprisingly space-agey.

Generally it's finished off in white, but further east, other colours are used to reflect the city's ethnic diversity*

*This is not true

Principal Tower is a stunner. Loved the renders but feared that the reality might not live up to them. But so far, so good.

I think none of the new 200m+ buildings will be completed by the time next year. But i should still visit the amazing city after 6 years.

Green light for major City of London student scheme

http://www.constructionenquirer.com/...tudent-scheme/

Student accommodation specialist Urbanest has secured planning permission for a mixed-used development in the heart of the City of London.

The Vine street scheme in EC3 will create 643 new student homes alongside affordable offices and innovation space for King’s College London. It has a GDV of more than £200m.

A new exhibition space, offering public access to a preserved section of London’s original Roman wall, has also been created in partnership with the Museum of London, alongside 75,000 sq ft of commercial offices and 10,000 sq ft of incubator space for start-ups.

Your vibe is simply the result of a poor interpretation of the issue. Not worth diverting the thread any further either.
