ITV Headquarters | South Bank SE1:

This really is so unimaginative and dull for what is arguably the most public of sites in central London. Compared with what is appearing in New York (both Manhattan and Brooklyn), I would have hoped, indeed expected, something far more outstanding. Little or no better than the current block.

Re Paddington Basin developments, can anyone update me as to the status of that tall, cigar shaped building? It's the one I've most eagerly anticipated in that area. Has it been shelved or have there been any positive recent developments? Or just no news at all?

The hotel element will be taken out and replaced with additional flats, however this runs against the approved Merchant Square plans. So an additional planning application will need to be submitted.

On the West Bank its around 235m as Spire London and Landmark Pinnacle are as tall as you can go. By the time you get to Wood Wharf it might be as allow as 207m. This decline in height limits owes it roots to London City Airport.
