Awesome - it has a Bladerunner/dystopian look about it!

They look quite decent, reminds me a little of some of Seifert's london buildings so a nice little nod to some of london's under appreciated recent architectural history

It looks kinda tacky to me, a pity that neighborhood is starting to get way too much postmodern.

I thought there was an intention to create a people-friendly high street where the Vauxhall bus station is - It would definitely be possible to do something there and have a big development above -but the pedestrian space at the bottom of those towers doesn't look that good - it's just the leftover space once you plonk two towers on the site.

Be interesting to see if this actually happens this time round. Seems to come up every year or so.

One point - Steer Davies Gleave are Transport Engineers, not Architects as noted in your summary.

Heathrow Airport reveals logistics hubs bidders

http://www.constructionenquirer.com/...-hubs-bidders/

Quote:
Sites proposed by main contractors Laing O’Rourke, Balfour Beatty and steelwork specialist Severfield are in the running as potential logistics hubs for the Heathrow Airport third runway expansion.

This morning Heathrow has unveiled its long list of sixty-five off-site centres for construction and manufacturing.

Heathrow Airport claims its third runway project will be the first major infrastructure project in the UK to pioneer the large-scale use of logistics hubs playing a key role in supporting expansion’s efficient delivery.

Heathrow Chairman Lord Deighton said: “As the UK leaves the EU, Heathrow is an essential infrastructure project that will ensure Britain remains an open trading nation.
