London has quadrupled its number of skyscrapers in the last 5 years, and built the multi-awarding winning 30 St Mary Axe.

We currently have 8 buildings over 100m under construction, including a couple of 500-footers, plus the world's largest football stadium which features a 400ft arch; and many other huge projects around the city. In the next 6 months we can expect Shard London Bridge, Bishopsgate Tower, 122 Leadenhall and 20 Fenchurch Street to begin groundwork (this is pretty much confirmed now); in around 12 months we can expect Heron Tower, Beetham Tower and St George's Wharf to start; not to mention a huge number of midrises; plus tons of massive regeneration projects like Wood Wharf, Elephant and Castle, Greenwich Peninsula, Kings Cross, Stratford City and the Olympic stadium, etc...

I only start new threads for 150m+ towers. This tower on Old Street is only around 135m.
