London skyline 2012

Updated to included 20 Fenchurch Street, 20 Blackfriars, Beetham Tower, Doon Street, Kings Reach reclad and height increase. Also shifted DIFA to the south a little. Minerva has been airbrushed out. Broadgate will be completely obscured by the dome of St Paul's from this angle. 80-88 Bishopsgate would appear almost directly behind Tower 42 from this angle and be slightly shorter.

They appear bigger because they are closer to where the picture is taken from.

You have London's low rise 'West End' to the left of the picture, with the River Thames snaking around to the east, passing the 'South Bank' cluster which appears on the right and is the closest cluster to the camera, and then continues past the 'City cluster' in the middle. Then the river continues with The Shard on the far right being opposite the City cluster. Canary Wharf would be in the far distance off to the right of the panorama.

bit of a dodgy rendering or montage...I doubt it will look like that or that beethams scheme will ever get through planning. When is the beetham scheme being re submitted for planning anyway?

have in mind that all of them wont be built though and that they only are renders. Still id like some more conventional buildings aswell, all clusters need a couple of boxes.

i think lbt is slightly out of scale... it's not very much closer to the camera than where guys is, yet appears almost 50% bigger than what it should be

/nitpick

They won't actually look like that. For a start, they will be different colours as they are all in the same light. The Beetham Tower is udergoing a LONG redesign, people doubt weter Doon street (one in the foreground) will even be built because of the location (thought it would look way better in real life) and the crystal like tower near Beetham hasn't even had proper renders released yet

People need to remember that as well as the dozens of skyscraper projects that there are also other exciting developments. The battersea powerstation, The olympics, Wembley, The O2 Dome, Tate extension, Heathrow... Here are some pictures of the New Heathrow terminal East I found which is due to start once T5 is complete:

It is a new terminal replacing terminals 1 and 2, designed to further modernize the airport and complement T5. There are also plans for athird runway and yet another terminal, T6.
