beetham tower would be not bad looking if they removed those hideous torre agbar-style coloured glass panels

The render misrepresents the materials of the Southbank towers. They will not appear in that "cartoon" like way and colour in real life. This model represents the serious structure of the Southbank towers... this is missing the Doon Street tower...

Do you know what I think London needs more of.... glass scrapers, we simply don't have enough of them.

Not really... they certainly couldn't be considered as a part of the same 'cluster'. They will be one Tube stop apart (Southwark > London Bridge)

I think its back on the drawing board to make the 'bump' less prominent

I hope the cartoonish colours are toned down too

I just drove past that hideous building in the roundabout on Westminster Bridge Road, but I am shocked by what the want to replace it with. Yet another glass and steel structure but with coloured panels. It looks hideous. Lambeth council dragged their feet over St George's Tower but allowed that monostrosity to be waved through.

Honestly I don't understand what goes on in planning meetings.

Its seriously digusting, and on a prime site. Only a building of extreme grandeur should grace this site !!! Its opposite ******* Westminster for ****ssake..

^yeah that really is shocking. That is one ugly building, and has no right to stand opposite the mighty Westminster.

are the residents of london happy with this new "look" for the skyline? i thought it was a parody when i first saw it. nothing personal because i adore london but i think a bit of restraint should be exercised.
