Notes:
• The tower was formally known as the Odalisk
• main tower of the scheme the tallest residential building in the United Kingdom beating the currently under construction St George Wharf in Vauxhall
• 397 apartments, each of which comes with its very own internal wintergarden

I spent a few hours last weekend trying to update the full summery of projects list. It's too big a job than I've got time for, but here are a few more I've updated:

Wood Wharf
Canary Wharf

Height: Various. Unknown at this time.| Floors: Various | Architect: Allies & Morrison | Developer: Canary Wharf Group

Notes:
• Wood Wharf is one of the largest urban projects in London. It will lead to the redevelopment of a huge, largely derelict area
to the immediate east of Canary Wharf.
• Superstar architects Herzog and de Meuron have been appointed to design one of the highest residential towers in the capital.
• Allies and Morrison will design two office buildings on either side of the sites new proposed High Street, which will form a link with Canary Wharf.
• Stanton Williams with design three new residential buildings around a green and communal courtyard.

Current Status:

The final previous masterplan was approved in October 2008.
An outline planning permission is expected to be submitted in spring for a scheme that will be developed over the next decade, with work beginning in 2014.

Images of the potential massing:

City Pride/The Landmark North
Canary Wharf

Height: 233m | Floors: 76 | Architect: Norman Foster & Partners | Developer: Chalegrove Properties

Notes:
• This massive residential skyscraper is planned by developer Chalegrove Properties, on the site of a pub in the Docklands. The site was bought for £32m.
• In terms of floor count, only the Shard will be higher.
• The tower has faced considerable opposition from local residents.

Current Status:
Chalegrove Properties have submitted a revised design for this tower, increasing the height from the original 62 storeys/209m to 76 storeys/233m and increasing the number of apartments to 948.

North Quay
Canary Wharf

Height: 216m/203m/120m | Floors: 44/38/18 | Architect: Cesar Pelli | Developer: Canary Wharf Group

Notes:
• This trio of towers would be situated on a 7-acre site at the northern edge of the Canary Wharf estate. Previously known
as "Shed 35", the site was sold to Canary Wharf Group with planning permission for a mixed-use development.
• In total, the North Quay scheme will provide over 4 million sq ft of floorspace for retail and offices.
• Development is likely to take place after the completion of the Churchill Place and Riverside South districts.
However, there could be further delays in the form of Crossrail (see below).

Current Status:

Approved, but unlikely to rise until 2017 or even later. The main problem lies with Crossrail, part of which is going
to run directly underneath the towers.

The Leadenhall Building
The City

Height: 225m | Floors: 48 | Architect: Richard Rogers | Developer: British Land PLC/Oxford Properties

Notes: • This tower is designed by Richard Rogers, the man behind Lloyds of London, the Dome, and the Pompidou Centre in Paris.
• Despite its height, the building has a relatively small amount of floorspace (500,000 sq ft), due to its unusual profile
which means the floorplates gradually decrease the higher up it goes.
• The base will feature a 90 ft high atrium, extending the public area of St Helens and providing shelter from the elements.
• Glass lifts will carry employees up the outside of the building, similar to those on the Lloyds Building only twice as high.
• Click here to view the full planning report from the Corporation of London.

Current Status:
Under Construction – Topped Out

Riverside South
Canary Wharf

Height: 236m and 189m | Floors: 45 and 37 | Architect: Richard Rogers | Developer: Canary Wharf Group

Notes:
• The tallest tower was given a height increase, making it structurally taller than 1 Canada Square (but shorter by AOD height).
• In terms of floorspace, this will be the largest single office development in Europe - over 3 million square feet.
• JP Morgan were secured as tenants in August 2008.

Current Status:
After a long period of excavation and piling the basement slab was completed, then construction was halted. Construction for the main towers will begin if JP Morgan decide that they are committed to the development, which would become their European headquarters if completed. The construction of the basement levels is currently under way but it is still unclear if the towers will follow the completion of those basement levels. Construction of these basement levels is contracted to be complete by 2016. JP Morgan have until 2016 to decide whether to continue with the development.

Current Status:
On hold until a pre-let can be found. Demolition complete and some minor groundworks have been conducted.

One Blackfriars Road – formally Mirax-Beetham Tower
Southwark SE1

Height: 163m | Floors: 52 | Architect: Ian Simpson Architects | Developer: Beetham Organization

Notes:
• Originally proposed at 70 floors/220m, this has twice been reduced in height, and the footprint has shrunk.
• There was going to be a public viewing gallery will be located on the top floor, offering stunning views across the capital. This has been removed.

Current Status:
Approved in March 2009 following a lengthy public inquiry. Ground works are just starting and a marketing suit is being erected on the site. Construction is due to start this year, and take two years to complete.

Northgate Tower (Principal Place)
Hackney/City border

Height: 161m | Floors: 51 | Architect: Foster & Partners | Developer: Hammerson

Notes:
• This is a major office and residential scheme on the City/Hackney border, immediately adjacent to the Broadgate Tower. The Tower element is the residential part of the scheme, with offices in the groundscraper.
• Originally, it was intended that a historic pub, the Light Bar, would be demolished. However, following a campaign by
local residents, along with objections from CABE, this was saved and incorporated into the plans.

Current Status:
A revised application was granted planning permission in November 2009. After substantial enabling works (due to nearby rail lines), it is unclear when this will start construction. Demolition work has taken place on site. The groundscraper offices are thought to be constructed first with the Tower rising shortly after.

Ludgate House and Sampson House redevelopment
Southwark

Height: 161m/108m/94m/69m/58m/53m/57m/ | Floors: 49/30/26/15/16/12/13/6/5 | Architect: PLP Architecture | Developer: Carlyle Group

Notes:• Phasing of the development is largely dictated by the dates when the Sampson and Ludgate buildings become vacant (through expiry of existing leases).
• The lease on Ludgate House expires Q2 2015
• The lease on Sampson House expires Q2 2018
• The basement and foundations of Sampson house are going to be retained, thus greatly limiting the amount of new excavation and piling required

Current Status: Pre planning.

20 Fenchurch Street - the "Walkie Talkie"
The City

Height: 160m | Floors: 36 | Architect: Rafael Vinoly | Developer: Land Securities

Notes:
• This project replaces a 91m tower from the 1960s. It involved a very lengthy demolition process.
• Opinions are very divided on this tower's unusual design. Following criticism about its height and impact on the views
of St Pauls Cathedral, it was reduced by 9 floors, from 45 to 36. It subsequently went through a public inquiry
(the 4th London skyscraper to go through this process), and was finally approved in July 2007. The full planning report
can be accessed here.

Current Status:
Under Construction.

Cuba Street Towers
Canary Wharf

Height: 157m/122m | Floors: 46 | Architect: 3D Reid | Developer: Agaoglu Group

Notes:
• Cladding both towers will be a double skinned glass facade.
• There will be a total of 439 flats between both towers, as well as a hotel and some retail units at the base.
Current Status: Planning rejected. The developer has threatened to withdraw from the scheme owing to repeated demands by Tower Hamlets to reduce the height of the scheme.

Current Status: The scheme is being reviewed by the developers after Tower Hamlets council once again objected to the height, citing the impact it will have on the surrounding area.

And that's as far as I got before I got bored. If anyone would like to use all that info to create a new Full Summary of Projects, feel free (I'm looking at you SE9 ). It's all up to date as far as I'm aware, I did have Columbus Tower and Heron Quays West in there as well, but such is the speed of developments in London, both of those projects have new skyscraper proposals for those sites since I compiled this list last Saturday.
