Fair enough, if you like to post London news then at least post relevant stuff. A random article about potential construction uptake in 2011 that is obviously out of date is not. He should take a leaf out of SE9’s book and post relevant and up to date info and only post it once , half the time it looks like he just googling London news no matter if it is relevant , accurate or out of date just to continue the silly on-going childish games with equally silly French posters to see how is top of the leader board.

His similar constantly posting on certain other threads particularly the French London thread just seems to be French baiting ( although there are French posters equally at fault) & comes across as purely antagonistic and trolling which serves no purpose other than to wind people up.

He obviously has some sort of affiliation with London and he does do a good job in keeping people informed and if he stopped doing what I have highlighted no one would have a problem with him.

Pity, no chance for height increase here.

Centre Point is Grade II listed, an application for a height increase would inevitably be thrown-out.

The Kings Cross re-development is stunning. Think what the area was like 10 years ago with state of St. Pancras, KX and the surrounding area.

I also want to throw my name into the hat in support of SO1043. The amount of abuse he gets for flying the flag for London is a little disturbing but he always takes it on the chin. I would also say that in several other threads he is quick to applaud developments and skylines of other cities. I think he just really loves skyscrapers and urban developments - which is more or less why we're all on this forum.

People should use the ignore feature more if someone bothers them enough to post about it.

I think people are missing the whole point why others are getting a bit annoyed with certain posts by the fella.

Everyone likes contribution. What they don't like is contributions which show's evident ignorance. re-posting news just makes this thread confusing for outsiders. It's not easy for people who know the city to keep up with developments. It doesn't need it being littered with irrelevant news articles and old stories which are no longer correct.

People have had 23,000 posts of tolerance, now it's getting a bit infuriating. Why people have started moaning now is that someone told him and he defended himself with "because he was bored" and then went on to post a dozen more old and incorrect articles. That in my eyes is a bit trollish. Anyway. Enough's enough. No point dwelling on it anymore. I'm sure he understands.

Yes I also admire the increased activity in the thread but a standard format for posts should probably be used such as using new, updated or reminder as the title so outsiders don't get confused. After all there are lots of projects in this thread and its difficult grasp their statues. Anyway I say lets stop complaining and just focus on London

Concord brought on as Principal Place resi partner
By James Buckley - Monday, July 08, 2013 9:56

Brookfield Office Properties has entered into a 50:50 joint venture with residential specialist Concord Pacific Group on the 50-storey residential tower planned at the mixed use Principal Place development site.
The residential tower element of the scheme has been designed by Foster & Partners and includes 243 apartments, over roughly 200,000 sq ft.

Both the apartment tower and 15-storey office building will overlook a new public piazza bordered by shops, cafes and elegant private apartments.

The new joint venture does not include the 600,000 sq ft office building planned for the same site, which will remain 100% owned by BPO.

BPO will take responsibility for the development and project management work and Concord Pacific will take charge of the sales and marketing activities with support from W1 Developments Inc, a London-based residential property developer....http://www.costar.co.uk/en/assets/ne...-resi-partner/

Post when it's relevant yes, but to post the same articles time after time just makes the thread confusing and therefore i'm partly on El Greco's side.

Spot on.

He's ABSOLUTELY NOT a troll, and many of his contributions are great. But he does border on spamming these threads quite often as he seems to have no filter on what he posts! He just needs to check the date of what he's posting, make sure it's not been posted before, and be sure it adds substance to the forum.

That's surely not an unfair compromise!

And yes, I rarely contribute to this thread, but I do read It a lot....just my 2p worth.

Centrepoint is one building where I wouldn't like to see a height increase, doing so would presumably alter the building's design. Don't mess with an icon.

I always enjoy those long distance views. Nine Elms will change them dramatically.
