State funds from Asia have declared an interest in funding London's proposed new airport. China and South Korea are the interested parties:

- Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute: London Mayor Attracts Investor Interest in New Thames Airport


The new airport, designed by Foster + Partners, will have a capacity of 110 million passengers per year:

We really are planning for the future now with these monster projects.... great to see this happening instead of patching up existing stuff to make things last 'a few years more'.

From that Thames Hub Airport picture, is that the London Gateway port project in the top left part of the open waterway?

Great to see how close they would be... air freight could also be shipped out from there too seeing as they are in such close proximity.

On the picture, the port is on the right hand bank of the estuary, on the Essex side.

It appears above and to the right of the airport.

London is planning to establish a district focused around medical and life sciences research. The Medical City district will be centred around the three major research centres on Euston Road: the Francis Crick Institute, the Wellcome Trust and University College Hospital.
