I think that's largely a consequence of being south of the Thames. Everywhere south of the Thames is considered south London, regardless of coordinates.

By contrast, not everywhere north of the Thames is necessarily considered north London.

It's not really about what 'you' think, but what the common perception is - and that is the OOC area is NW London, although it's on the boundary by most definitions. Personally I wouldn't contest if someone said West London, as it blurs around here. Latitude doesn't have much to do with it. I mean, Victoria and Elephant are on pretty much the same latitude, yet Victoria is central and e&c south London (although watch future attempts to rebrand it). Hounslow is West London, but is on the same latitude as many SW London districts, such as Wandsworth. Thamesmead is further north than parts of CW, but people living there consider themselves as from SE London, not East. So on and so forth.

It's central London
Precisely my point. As I said, I base my perception of London on the map rather than postcodes.

Each to their own, I suppose.

Whining about someone posting photo's of London?

That says more about the type of person you are, than it does him.

What are you, French or something?.

You clearly have no idea who SO143 is. It's not about posting photos of London. Go check the European skylines thread out.

Is he the one who keeps inflating the number of views on the Paris thread to insure that it's always more than the London thread? I mean, not only is it obvious (there are many fewer posts in that thread), it's also pathetic.

I'm quite sceptical of the Scalpel from renderings produced thus far. Hope I turn out to be wrong but it looks like a bit of an undignified mess.

No, that's one of the 'respectful' mods on this website… who happens to be from that republic across the English Channel.

Anyway, on topic…. seriously can't wait for the Lime Street tower to star rising.

Does anyone know the name of the other recently approved tower that will sit close to it? I can't remember name or location.. but it has a big footprint and sort of a 'modern gothic' look if I remember correctly.

Oh really? I LOVE the Scalpel design. Looks fantastic. Will really look great from Southbank I think. I think the cladding on this will be the winner.

Yeah I believe thats "Gotham City", it's formal name being "40 Leadenhall Street".

Pictures like so;

Beautiful tower. Reminds me a little of the Rockefella Center in NYC
