I think it's kind of meh. I'm not a big fan of round buildings. I think buildings should stay within a coherent street grid.

I remember someone making a London future skyline render some 3-4 years ago with all the proposals. Does anyone know of a more recent version that incorporates all the new proposals that have came out throughout London?

The point is that cities are made of square (or rectangular, at least) lots, so round buildings don't really fit in.

You should review maps of London and many other European cities. They don't follow the typical street hierarchy of American cities.

That future skyline render was made by the thread starter (wjfox). There's no new version unfortunately, but there's several physical and rendered models around.

Of course I know that. There are square, rectangular, and triangular lots, but I'm rather positive you won't find a circular lot anywhere in London.

You won't find lots you'll find plots. But plenty of them will be curved or semi-circular. But anyway your logic is absurd. Why should the footprint of a building, much less the upper floors, bear an exact resemblance to the shape of the plot? If I recall correctly, the dome of the Texas State Capitol is not cuboid!

Such as the plots on which St John's Church, the Kennington Oval, the Royal Albert Hall or Waterloo Imax sit?

You're preaching from the perspective that plots only come in three linear forms, and that the footprint of a building must correspond to its plot shape. Not here.

London looks SO good at night.

Great news with One Lime Street tower - this is definitely going to be one of my favourite developments in the whole of London. It'll be a well needed addition to the City as well. The City skyline will great from the Thames when One Lime street and 40 Leadenhall are built.

What's that black thing on 20 Fenchurch Street? Or are the windows a different colour?

I believe it is some sort of net to stop anymore "sun rays" being produced like in early September when the building effectively melted part of a car and damaged some shop fronts.

It is a temporary solution and will most likely fixed before UK Spring time.
