The final public exhibition for the South Quay Plaza towers took place last weekend. A planning proposal will soon be submitted to Tower Hamlets council.
Models of South Quay Plaza and other complete/proposed towers in the Canary Wharf area:

I really do hope this is accepted and built. It would be beautiful.

It's amazing, Canary Wharf will look like a city within the city. It seems that many towers will reach about 200 meters which is quite high for an average.

If you add the current city of London (with the coming pinnacle) + the Nine Elms redevelopment, London will look like one of the most modern city in the world (if not the most modern) in only a decade. Hats off!

The density is astounding. I hope they get the ground level right. It needs to be really animated and vibrant, so that it feels like Roppongi or Manhattan.

It seems that London investors are doing the best they can to ensure that it will be the safest place to build skyscrapers and invest money in. I'm happy that they're all embracing the rather simplistic modern design but don't rely on glass entirely. It's really nice seeing stone and bricks still being used in new construction ... minus that thing with green balconies in Kidbrooke Village

It's my favorite project going on in London right now. It may seem less exciting than Canary Wharf and Wood Wharf (less tall towers) but the promising quality of all buildings combined with their different styles and heights is much more entertaining for the eye.

Hi, I can't post a link on this forum as I am a new here. So, please Google "The capital’s skyline is a growing mess. Let Boris sort it out".

It is about London's future and it's boom written by The Economist.

It is incredible the shear myriad of projects going on in London, a consequence of high demand and limited space. Nine Elms will look outstanding in 10-20 years and the New Bondway projects will certainly add beauty to an already aesthetic developing area.

I'd imagine it'll be Siemens product which they offer when TfL put out an ITT for the new trains for the Piccadilly line (and then eventually Bakerloo, Central, W&C)

Have to say its bloody ugly

I kind of like the fact that the front looks like the underground sign though… the red LED's are a bit cool… but honestly as a Londoner… I'd rather just have Aircon in the summer and more room to move.
