If London is so attractive and it needs a lot of office spaces, why is The Pinnacle not rising? Not many tenants are interested in this tower?

Haha thanks for the title

So this franchise will see the introduction of the 700s as well as replacement fleets for the 442s and GatEx runs as well as 313s on Great Northern services. As well as that they will oversee the cascade of their 319s and 387s to other operators. Lots of stock changes will happen tied up in TSGN hope it all goes well for GoVia TSGN.

The Pinnacle isn't currently on the market.

Nice to see the roof-space utilised this way, wish more new developments would do this. This is a great way to get people to love cities and urbanity.

London office construction recovers to near pre-recession level

London’s skyline is dotted with cranes as 64 offices with a total space of 9.2m square feet – equivalent to 15 Shards, Europe’s tallest building – are constructed.

Rising confidence among developers and occupiers has pushed office building in central London to near pre-recession levels, the twice-yearly London Crane Survey compiled by Deloitte Real Estate reveals.

This recovery in construction includes 16 projects of more than 100,000 sq ft, which are due to be completed in the capital during the next three years. Almost half of this space has already been let to tenants.

Islington Square's roof is very innovative and i also like the new £2 billion project of the convent garden.

Two left in race for £600m Northern Line extension

Transport for London has cut the shortlist of bidders in half for the £600m Northern Line extension. The four bidders in the race for the deal were Balfour Beatty/Bam, Bechtel/Strabag, Costain/Murphy and Laing O’Rourke/Ferrovial.

The Enquirer understands that it is now a straight race between Balfour Beatty/Bam and Laing O’Rourke/Ferrovial.

David Hughes, Director of Director Of Major Programme Sponsorship for London Underground, said: “Following the issue of an OJEU notice on 15 March last year and the subsequent pre-qualification process, we invited tenders from four bidders for the design and build contract for the Northern Line Extension.

“We received high quality tenders and, following the tender evaluation process, we have invited the two highest scoring bidders to participate in the next phase of the procurement process.

“This process will involve assessing their ability to deliver the best value for money and to meet delivery expectations.”

TfL said it couldn’t comment on the identity of bidders during an ongoing procurement process. But sources close to the project have confirmed the revised shortlist to the Enquirer.

A contract is expected to be awarded later this year for the extension from Kennington to Battersea.
