It would be interesting to see how Principal Place comes along over time. I am still sat on the bench in regards to the cladding that will be used.

Fantastic project but I'm genuinely annoyed that it's not being called 'Newer Scotland Yard'.

This isn't the height of the financial crisis, where securing a pre-let was essential to start construction.

You were told a few weeks ago that London is undergoing an office space shortage, which results in projects like this being brought forward:

City of London’s Office Demand Reaches 14-Year High
Bloomberg | 10 October 2014

Demand for offices in the City of London business district reached the highest level in 14 years as companies outside the financial-services industry competed for space.

Office take-up rose to 3 million square feet (280,000 square meters) in the third quarter from 2.2 million square feet in the prior three months, broker Knight Frank LLP said in a statement today. The level is almost double the long-term average of 1.7 million square feet, it said.

I was also told 100 bishopsgate wouldn't go ahead without a major pre - let, hence why I'm asking.

In a superficial way, not in terms of materials but in terms of massing, the front base view reminds me slightly of the Transamerica Pyramid.
