yes. the second render posted by SE9 in #12331 shows the Norton Folgate street front.

I think the large yellow building (centre of render) will be (mostly) out of shot to the left of this photo, the buildings in this photo are the darker red ones to the right of that.

if I have worked it out correctly the buildings behind the sheeting in my photo are some nice victorian ones which are being preserved/refurbished, plus the corner building is staying, the rest is for the scrapheap.

Thank goodness for that, I'm all for preserving historical buildings with value but not keeping ones just because it's old. I hope this development gets the get go.

Barking Riverside is also not on your list. I know that majority doesn't like it but it's the lagest single housing project in the UK right now after all.

I like the spikes on top of that The Quill building. I hope that one gets built.

So many projects on City Road! Maybe we should compile all those into one thread soon too.

Would be very interested to see a render of them all in one shot. Could be a future Marsh Wall!

I like them both but, of the two, I prefer the Lexicon. More elegant.

I haven't yet seen a City Road render with all in one shot.

Hopefully all the highrises along this stretch will prompt developers to build high here in future. The precedent has now been set, it's just a case of securing sites.

I'm a big fan of Lexicon. It was my view that the cladding would make or break the tower, and man it looks good.

Exactly.

Top quality cladding. I love the curve of that glass.

I'm looking forward to seeing the feature / balcony cladding for Canaletto too. Will also be make or break.

I'm in the Canaletto camp personally, but they complement each other really well. Canaletto's just a bit more adventurous, which I like.

The other cladding is already there for us to judge. It's the feature / balcony cladding (or however it should be described!) that we can't yet be sure of.
