Nonsense!

I'm a fan of the Aviva Tower and I'm fully in agreement that it shouldn't be demolished. But the vast majority of current and planned development in London is on disused brownfield land or it is replacing ugly post war buildings that we are far better off without.

London is changing very much for the better. And we shouldn't let the occasional loss of a worthy building blind us to that fact.

Besides which, the Aviva Tower hasn't gone yet. There's no certainty that any planning committee will sanction its demolition.

It's very much the new London vernacular isn't it. The new Aylesbury proposal.

A quick mock-up of the for proposed City towers, by Zin5ki using an image from the 40 Leadenhall planning application.

Pinnacle is on the left. 1 Undershaft, the St Helen's replacement to the right of the Pinnacle. The Scalpel (52 Lime Street) infront of 1 Undershaft. 40 Leadenhall Street on the right of the Scalpel.

1 Undershaft works much better as part of the cluster.

The updates in this thread are everything!
The pinnacle looks slightly out of place the the render above in comparison to other angles.

This will make 20 Fenchurch, even more isolated. I hope someone out there will bridge the gap with a scraper.
