an updated view of the Canary Wharf skyline - the lighting schemes at the almost complete PanPeninsula towers - to the right are now switched on - changing colour every few seconds. To the left the taller Landmark tower has now topped out.

yes - the Monument to the Fire of London - 202ft tall has just re-opened - with a new viewing gallery at the top - where the above pics were taken.
The Monument was built between 1671 and 1677 by Sir Christopher Wren - who bulit St Pauls Cathedral.

Fantastic pics (as usual) Chest, the Canary Wharf one especially looks so impressive with it stretching from Ontario to Pan. Would be great if you posted them in the best Skylines in the European Union thread as it's a bit lacking in recent London pics that show how good the skyline is now.

Build this futuristic towers without discussion!!!

Enough money in this world to realise that project! Crisis or not there a lot of very rich people that can invest in such beautifull buildings!

It will be a huge (image) boost for London of a modern city that is ready to go forward in the 21° century standards!

Although I like the grey/silver cladding of many skyscrapers in London, I believe it would be great to have more colour in Canary Wharf. Too much silver is getting boring, the area could need some exciting and contrasting colours.
