Here's the actual project facts for 20 Fenchurch Street, including the actual thread link and official website.

The City of London is not a London borough:

There's no doubt the view out of the tower is spectacular. I resent the way it was sold to us originally however as a floating forest above the city.
I also find it mind boggling that what is essentially a vast mirrored dish can be built in the centre of London and not one structural engineer thought to question its destructive caperbilities.
Think it should have come third in the carbuncle maybe because of that alone?

Although I do not think it's one of London's best buildings nor is it in the best location, I do think its a general success. I have a friend visiting from California next month and The Sky Garden is one of her top requests to visit!

I don't think it is quite as hated as the media makes out...

I would say it's one of the most successful buildings recently for London. Look at how much publicity this thing gets! Even people who normally don't have any architectural interest talk about it now. Ugly or not, everyone knows it exists now making it successful in a different way.

I think it actually looks good in person because the cladding is of a good quality, better than ledenhall in my opinion (in terms of cladding).

It divides opinion, the Sky Garden could have been so much better though.

It's trumped by that of Crossrail Place.
