I think that looks awfully dull. Although less high, Nova Victoria's constituent buildings are at least interesting to look at.

The railways have been underfunded for quite some time.

They run charter passenger services on day trips , for those willing to stump up the cash.

Actually this link posted by spindrift in the london forums:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LNER_P..._60163_Tornado

indicates it's a new train! built 2008! which is rather nice.

and to think people say we disregard our heritage :P

Oh well, the starting gun has been fired which is good, but seeing as it takes an average 5-7yrs to go from planning to top out in the city of London, its going to be a long race.

One undershaft is good but it seems a bit too tall.

I see things from a different perspective: the other towers in the City are too low (for example The Gherkin is only 180 m...).
295 m is a mediocre height for US and asian standards.

Your seer ignorance has no bounds

In London in the typical British manner , we've put a airport by which its flight paths pass over the two main areas where highrises supertalls make economic sense (City of London and Canary Wharf)

Please keep your simplistic comment (I don't like it because it isn't tall enough) on the international sub-threads.

Undershaft looks great. I hope it doesn't get downsized or changed much in design. I'm really beginning to love it.
