Various North American downtowns offer similar vistas, especially in New York.

What makes London really stand out of the crowd is the vast variety of styles and epochs represented, and an alternating harmony of homogenous classical neighbourhoods, mixed ones and completely modern/contemporary ones.

North American cities are pretty much creations of the last two centuries and therefore most certainly don't offer vistas like that. Although that particular church in its current state is mostly a creation of the 1990s.

Tate looks good! I assume the balcony bit on the top will wrap around the entire building giving 360 degree views of London? Hopefully like the rest of the Tate it will be free to enter. I look forward to going up there and taking many photos of London someday!
