It literally IS a building wrapped in glass. I love the way it is done*. (It helps that I love glass as an architectural material).

London Skyscraper Rents Jump as Vacancies Fall to 15-Year Low

Office rents in London’s skyscrapers rose almost 10 percent in the second half of last year as city-center vacancies fell to a 15-year low, according to an index compiled by broker Knight Frank LLP, and are set to continue climbing.

Annual skyscraper rents in the U.K. capital surged to $126 per square foot because of rising demand for prime office space amid a supply shortage, the 21-city index showed. That was the biggest increase in the index and follows a similar gain in the first half. Hong Kong, the most expensive location, gained 3 percent to about $263.

"International companies have had the benefit of tower space across the world, and until recently London hasn’t provided it," said Will Beardmore-Gray, Knight Frank’s head of tenant representation and agency business. "We’re starting to see more tower buildings in central London that you could put in any capital and be proud of."

Demand for prime offices is soaring across London as the city’s improving economic prospects encourages companies to upgrade their space. Central London’s office vacancy rate fell to 4.2 percent at the end of 2015.

Developers are racing to close the gap, with 12.2 million square feet (1.1 million square meters) under construction at the end of last year, 56 percent more than a year earlier, according to Knight Frank. That follows a period in which very few towers were constructed.

Then surely they'll be a lot of pre-lets of the towers being built or the ones that have planning permission ?

Current conditions are certainly giving developers confidence to proceed with these office-led schemes.

For instance, 100 Bishopsgate is the first time that Brookfield have ever started construction on a scheme without having secured a pre-let. They've since secured a pre-let with the Royal Bank of Canada, who will occupy over a quarter of the tower's space.

CBRE says Brexit fears fail to dent office take-up
FM World | 21 April 2016

Demand for office space in London has remained “robust” through the traditionally quiet first quarter, says global real estate adviser CBRE.

The firm said that 3.1 million square feet of the capital’s offices were snapped up by companies despite fears that economic headwinds and the possibility of Brexit could dampen demand.

The 3.1 million sq ft is only marginally below the 10-year average of 3.2 million – a major move by Thomson Reuters to take 315,400 sq ft at 5 Canada Square in the Docklands lifted overall take-up for the quarter.

^ Enormous construction dimensions there, but frankly I haven't seen closer renders of any of the Wood Wharf towers yet, I think. From above none of them looks visually appealing or interesting imho.
