it's something the Ewok Wicket says, don't remember if it appears in a song as well

1 Bank street seems to be shooting up, I dont remember any recent buildings that have made such swift progress and it looks huge!

Most of those apartment high rises are ugly as hell, so there will be a lot of demolition needed in the future to make the city great again.

One Lansdowne Road work start in february 2017!

Quote:
WORK will begin on an iconic residential tower in the new year after the developers confirmed they would utilise an existing planning consent.

Guildhouse Rosepride will start on site at One Lansdowne Road in February to begin work on an iconic skyscraper which will be one of the tallest residential towers in the UK.

Planning for the 55-storey scheme, the vision of renowned architect Piers Gough of CZWG Architects, was originally consented in 2012 to accommodate a four-star InterContinental Crown Plaza hotel, 397 apartments, 180,000 sq ft of grade A offices, a gym, restaurant and cafes.

David Hudson, chief executive of Guildhouse UK, said: “We are now in the process of implementing the existing consent.

“We have substantially discharged our pre-commence-ment conditions and works will start on site during February 2017.”

Guildhouse Rosepride were left shocked in the summer when Croydon Council’s planning committee, on the advice of their officers, voted against an improved scheme, particularly as councillors had been ‘excited’ when shown plans at a pre-application presentation.

The revised scheme would have incorporated two towers of 69 and 39 storeys and provided 900 apartments, 200,000 sq ft grade A offices, retail, coffee shops, gym and glass-bottomed swimming pool, rooftop restaurant and bar along with a public viewing gallery on the top of the taller tower.
