Showing the progress of the Bishopgate Towers and the Scalpel which are now starting to have a good effect on the skyline. When they are complete this will be quite a view from the Tate Modern!

Thai developer Pace Developments in talks over British Film Institute's new £130m home

The British Film Institute is set to choose a Thai property giant to develop and build its new £130m headquarters in central London.

The BFI confirmed that it had selected Bangkok-based Pace Development Corp as its preferred bidder to fund, design and construct the £130m facility.

The BFI has planned to build a new home on the site of the nearby Hungerford car park for nearly a decade, but has so far been unable to secure funding for the scheme.

Pace Developments has offered to provide £87m for the project, as well as providing full design, build and partial fit-out.
