Have any companies pre-leased space in this tower or the one rising on Bishopsgate?

Also, is the Walkie Talkie proceeding now or was it delayed? If the former, have any companies pre-leased space in it?

I bet this has been discussed before, but can we really consider this a 246m building? Is it because Heron has a spire, not a mast?

^ I consider it to be a 202m tower. To claim that this building tops 1 Canada Square (a genuine 236m) is a case of....

OCS's pyramid is purely decoration. It has no structural purpose, and there is nothing inside it. Plant works are flat to the roof, like HSBC and Citi. Is this any different to a spire? This too would be about 200m

Yes but 1 Canada Square's pyramid, unlike Heron's pole, is very substantial. Even describing it as a "spire" understates its bulk. Note that the great pyramids of Egypt had zero function above the tomb chambers. Most of their height, therefore, was to complete their aesthetic wholeness rather than serve any practical purpose. Does that mean that you stop counting the height of the pyramids above the ceiling of the royal tombs? Of course not! However I find it highly dubious to count a mere pole as part of building height. Therefore 1 Canada Square, topped by its substantial pyramid, is a genuine 236m, wheras Heron is just 202m as the skinny insubstantial pole should not count.

Hardly worth being pedantic about, as long as they're all built.. who cares? Plus it will have a short duration as the UK's tallest (whether it be 'worthy' of the title or otherwise), as the Pinnacle dwarfs them both, and then LBT.
