Brilliant! Can't wait until that picture is what we will actually see when we go to the City!

I like the positioning of the tower, from the south it appears to 'fill the gap' between SR and T42, so that they look more like they're in the same cluster. That will be the same from all angles since the three buildings are in an almost triangular arrangement. Of course, when the Pinnacle, 100 Bishopsgate and the Cheesegrater (let's keep our hopes high, now. ) start rising, it will different, it really will look like a proper skyscraper cluster, but for just now, Heron does a lot of good for the appearance of the City skyline.

The speed is about 2 floors a fortnight. So should be close to to the highest floor.

Yeah that's how I worked it out. It equates to a floor a week, so in 40 weeks time it should hopefully be topped out.

Pretty damn fast, makes up for the planning wrangle

I was in the City today...

From Liverpool Street Station:

At the junction of Wormwood Street/London Wall:

London Wall:

The same view in 2011...........

Then, suddenly...

A bunch of animal rights protestors.

Bonus pic of City Point:

is this just a core or is this the entire perimeter of the building? I'd love to see bird eye view of the construction site soon.
