Depends on whether you count the Spire or not. Many people don't. Not that it really matters.

It wouldn't look half as good without the spire though.

No it's not. Taipei 101 is 508m tall (449m without spire, so actually it cheats) whilst Burj Dubai (in Dubai) is 818m tall. Therefor I don't think your beloved building in Taiwan still is the tallest building on the planet.
And of course this won't be taller, the title says 246m.

Btw, awesome tower, it's really speeding its way to the top now
London rocks!

If you don't mind me asking, how do you take such a picture. You know, that you can from a short distance fit both the footpad and the top of the cranes. Is it a lense or just some kind of "vertical panorama"?

Cheers!
Great picture!!! Cant beleive how quick this superb building is being built not long until it has topped out and I cant wait!!

This one's rising fast, well done London!

Looks like it'll be topped out by the end of the year?

Or hopefully even before that, considering the speed at which it's rising.

I really am genuinely astonished by how fast it's rising, hence my theory above. It could easily be my favourite building...at least, until the Shard is completed.

Finally.. at long last, the City of London is actually building skyscrapers. With the Pinnacle under construction and rising in the next year or so it will be very busy in EC2.

Interesting project for London. Everything seems to be going just fine with its construction. Love this city.

as Nihil Dicit has already pointed out, the lack of a central core means you can see through to the next building:
