This really is great!!! It will really add a lot to the City skyline (which has been a bit lacking)

I don't get the difference between the 2 facades, the second is long way better... I'm guessing how it will look when completed

I know what you mean, the west facade is quite ordinary in many ways, although the quality of triple skin cladding is actually very high. The proportion of the facade overall though is the best, with a very high height to width ratio - will look very slender. The south facade definately looks fantastic. Crystalline high quality glass with embedded photovoltaic cells and animated with a wall of external lifts - it will look fantastic when complete and looks quality already - much better in real life than in photographs due to the Moire pattern the pv cells give off in any photo.

I do like that each facade looks different though. Heron has a nice balance of simplicity and complexity in my opinion. So many towers just try to be too clever and end up looking willful and shallow. I think this will be a class addition to London's skyline.

Just a shame it isn't 50m taller

I guess one of the reasons is that it makes sense to only have photovoltaic cells on the south facade (facing the sun)

The cladding is pretty awesome. Expected something cheaper looking because of the steel construction.

^huh? Cheaper towers tend to be built of concrete. Steel highrises tend to be quite expensive but offset this with the speed of erection, but never would i think a steel framed skyscraper as inferring cheap, quite the opposite in fact...

Chest, the composition of your photos is amazing. i love the way the Wren churches still make their presence felt amongst the modern architecture.
