I think it's Heron Plaza - as opposed to Heron Tower - that will have the hotel.

If it's Heron Plaza then it won't have those amazing sights to the other shore. Heron Plaza will be 112 metres tall I suppose.

Heron Tower is certainly going to be better than those 70's horrors in the city but from what I can see it's hardly anything to get excited about.
KPF designed much higher quality buildings in the 80's/90's, e.g. Chiffley bld. in Sydney which is an outstanding high rise built with high quality materials.
London deserves better than just another glass and steel structure which can bee seen anywhere these days. At least it's not a freaky design!!

Its a decent enough design, some support elements on the outside and a nice set of stepbacks at the top that lead to the spire, giving it enough individuality for a box. Its a decent skyscraper that complements the beauty of the more unusual designs being built in the City.

I can deal with plain and pretty over freaky and hideous.

The Four Seasons will indeed be in Heron Plaza next door, which has been redesigned to around 150m. No renders yet though.

Roof almost topped out? It sucks that it barely looks taller than the st. Mary Axe building.. They should cut the spire and increase the height of the roof.

I think thats more the angle than anything else. That said, isn't the first step back about 150 metres up?
