Official site says pinnacle will reach 230 meters. It looks like the spire may be shortened a bit. I hope this is true, because it looks a little long in the renders IMO.

Right there in plain English.

I was not referring to that. You said Pinnacle and that's another project. This one is Heron.

Pinnacle height = Top of flag pole, mast, antenna ect. used by the CTBUH as a method of measuring a building's height.

Do not confuse this with THE Pinnacle (Bishopgate Tower). Totally different story!

Ah ok . People usually use «spire» to speak about Heron's top.

I agree with Porto; it was a rather poor choice of words. Good info though!

Exactly, this was one of the reasons why I fell in love with London too when I was there...

Me too, that's what makes our great Capital second to none!

As for the photo, without overpowering the older important buildings in the foreground, the Heron tower looks like a protector and a guardian.

The building looks gorgeous. London even looks pretty good in these pics (not saying it isn't usually, just more beautiful in these pics). Kudos London.

PS-The pictures above are perfect quality and angle. Whoever took them should work for National Geographic.

Fantastic shot - really shows off the density of the City's buildings!
