What? Why?? It looks pretty dumb to have that tiny spike up there.

I was hoping the spire would be bigger than that. Even when i heard it was reduced i thought it would be bigger.

If the spire is 28m then total height even including the spire would be 230m, so no not the tallest in London that is still One Canada Square at 235m. Though in 2012 the Shard will be completed and stand at 309m.

I don't like it. It's too 'British'.
I don't intend to insult the British, but I just don't like their contemporary architecture. This tower looks like a factory.

Like most spires: pointless and gay.

To be honest, I think it looked better without the spire. The spire looks tacked on, just like the Trump Tower in Chicago.

It is suitable for the building. Too high and it would be ridiculously disproportionate.

what the heck, it looks like they just stuck a toothpick on top!

it's a nice tower, but I think it would have looked fine with the flat roof on top.

well that sucks, the new spire is rubbish and all that higher block leading toit looks slightly out of place with a tiny spire there.

The spire looks funny...in a bad way.

The spire is an important part of the design, it's been there since the building's conception. It looks fine and it will look better once the box at the bottom and the little ring half way up or removed.
