I didnt know about the restaurant on the roof! That's got to be fantastic,... apart from... the wind, which will be very strong 800 ft up in the air.

I wonder how many napkins will be blown away? I cant see it being used for anything more than coffee and cigarettes (that last 30 seconds, if they can get them lit at all)!

Wow, great shot. I cant imagine how good that view is going to look in a few years with The Pinnacle, 122 Leadenhall, Broadgate Tower, Columbus Tower, Riverside South, North Quay, Heron Plaza, not to mention the Wood Wharf complex, and all the other resis which will be in this view, and if the camera pulled back a bit, 20 Fenchchurch St and of course the Shard.

Working on cranes is still a relatively safe job in London it seems!

There is a restaurant on top of Tower 42 for years, I guess it is called Vertigo or something.

I wonder if there 'd be one on top of Shard too!

I will look like the Toronto of Europe and/or the Little sister of Hong Kong or New York but on or near European continent and surpassing Frankfürt for sure

Does anyone know if there is some sustainability features on this highriser? I just think that people generally look at the skin of the building and its heigth to say whether they like it or not. It goes so much further than that.... I'm not even gonna start.

and in 2016 it can replace New York as the new financial capital of the world ... or better, resorte its position as THE capital of the world in which rules will be made and the world will be under supervision and control.

Cheers to that

Is it obvious I love London and the Great British Empire ..

The internal works seem to be going quite ahead, so I wonder why this only due to be opened in 2011.
