I know what you mean
I think that if it wasn't for that pristine cladding, this thing could be a real eyesore.

When are they going to put the final pieces of cladding on the exterior?
It just doesn't look finished without them.

I think they may add the remaining cladding using the window cleaning 'platform'.

If there was a 'like' button, I would have used it on this. Sums it up brilliantly! Still love this tower though, works fantastically in the photos with Broadgate. Claddings wonderful as well, congratulations London.

You're not alone. Don't get me wrong, as piece of quality build it is second to none. However, as a piece of architecture I'm just still not convinced and if I'm honest it's to do with the soar factor which, even though it's supposed to have it's simply too short to give the effect. This would have looked better at 800ft to the roof or something. As for the cladding, well, I just don't know yet.

It just doesn't look that tall and that's because (and I know this is subjective) it isn't. The cladding and the step design on such a short skyscraper doesn't give the soar in the same way a taller one would of the same design. It's all personal opinion of course, but most cities this building would be a 'foothill' to taller ones. Even when you see Pinnacle and Shard which are average in global terms nowadays in height, they make heron look short. I'm just not convinced the best result has been achieved for the plot. But there will be others that like this, it just doesn't look quite as 'clean' in its execution as the renders had me believe. I do think another 200ft would've done wonders for it given the design is all about 'soar'.

I really like this tower, but I think I'll like it even more once Pinnacle goes up. It should create some harmony in the cluster.
