Well, it is just the render image blown up so I am confident it will look a bit better, but how much better remains to be seen. The brickwork is decent quality though

the cube's website has been updated since i last checked it. lots of new details about the apartments.
check out the apartment videos. i'm not convinced about the foldaway bed...but then what do i know about interior design. That said i'm loving the look of the duplex apartments.

Hi Robert
The best bet is to call Mark Swallow of Knight Frank on 200 2220 and check it out there. From what I recall, they are quite competitive and will be a mix of fully-serviced suites as well as proper leases. As this isn't going to open until 2009 you might want to check out somewhere else though. If you can wait until then , 11 Brindley Place might be a good alternative

The CABE website and then it should be somewhere under case studies. Its worth taking a look at the comments for Martineau Galleries.

Erebus - stop getting ahead of yourself!
Firstly - CABE have some reservations about the Cube but are generally supportive. Secondly - CABE commented on the old design of Martineau Galleries and are hopelessly out of date.

Ooh err sorry! I just think the Cube comments are generally supportive but the things they are not so supportive on are quite scathing.

MAKE's response is interesting. I am inclined to agree with CABE that the single aspect of most apartments (i.e. outward facing or inward facing) isn't great, but that is selling so people must be happy. MAKE say it is a characteristic of the building. Also, CABE say there may be a problem with seeing into apartments the other side of the atrium, but MAKE mention that most streets are narrower than the atrium, and there isn't a problem there. Good point!

Ah thanks
![]() 2009 is really only just over 2 year build time, which is a bit long for a building of this size but not this quality. That said they are probably being generous to allow for any problems to be ironed out before residents move in. They haven't finished demo yet (don't know why) and they have to do the excavation for the car park first! There is the distinct possibility that we could see the Cube, Snow Hill and Arena Central open in that year
