I thought this thread was for famous skyscrapers. Half of the ones in this thread I have never heard of.

I found this one to be quite different considering the Library Tower (72 Story) and the Gas Building are not constructed yet.



I took this picture myself on April 21st, 2006. I'm an active construction worker (Glass and Architectural Metal worker) in the Los Angeles greater area. This picture was taken from the old Eastern Columbia building. Look for my 1st thread under Los Angeles pictures. In this one you can see the Library Tower and the Gas Building next to each other

Yeah..it seems strange doesn't it? Notice the barely visably 84 Olympics logo on AON Center (Cal Plaza 1 was finished in 1985).

Why is the core rising so fast, well ahead of the rest of the structure? Why can't they slow down the core construction so the rest of the building is closer to the top of the core. It's easier for the crane operator to see the load it's carrying to the construction below?
